Alexis Koukias-Pantelis is a film director, screenwriter, and production sound mixer.

He has directed seven short films which have traveled to international film festivals, including Aesthetica Short Film Festival, BUFF Malmö Filmfestival and Tirana Int. Film Festival.

His short films have received several awards including a European Film Awards Candidacy at ISFFC 2023, a Hellenic Film Academy Best Short Film Nomination, the Best Directing, Best Screenplay and the Independent Award from the Hellenic Federation of Film Clubs at the 46th Drama ISFF for “Aerolin, the Best Female and Best Male Performance Awards for “After Noon” at the 27th Athens International Film Festival and the Best Short Film Award for Iro /he.ro:/ at Gaztefilmfest 2021 in Spain and at Athens International Short Film Festival 2022.

As a production sound mixer he has credited work in films that have been screened in some of the most prestigious film festivals of the world including Semaine de la Critique du Festival de Cannes, Venice Int. Film Festival and Sundance Film Festival. He has worked as a 2nd unit sound recordist and 1st assistant sound in the Amazon Studios’ productions “Killer Hear” and “Jack Ryan: Season 3” and as a music coordinator in Playtone’s and Focus Features’ production “My Big Fat Greek Wedding 3”.

His latest short film as director, "Aerolin", was funded by the Hellenic Broadcasting Corporation (Ert) and the Greek Film Centre.
